Applications for RRB NTPC Graduate Level (CEN 06/2026) opened on 8 October 2026. The railway boards are filling 3,548 posts this cycle, and almost four out of five are for a single role: Goods Train Manager, with 2,750 vacancies. The last date to apply is 6 November 2026.
The total is smaller than the previous graduate cycle, and two familiar posts are missing this time. Station Master and Traffic Assistant are not in CEN 06/2026. If you were waiting specifically for Station Master, expect a separate notice.

The four posts at a glance
- Chief Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor has 127 posts at Level 6 (₹35,400 basic). It is the highest-paying post in this notice and supervises ticketing and commercial staff at stations.
- Goods Train Manager has 2,750 posts at Level 5 (₹29,200 basic). This is the old Goods Guard role: running freight trains safely, with shift and outstation duty.
- Senior Clerk cum Typist has 371 posts at Level 5. It is administrative office work and needs computer typing skill.
- Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist has 300 posts at Level 5. It covers accounts and bill processing and also needs typing skill.
Goods Train Manager has strict medical standards, especially for vision. Read the medical category in the CEN before ranking it first.
Who can apply
A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university is the basic requirement for every post. The two typist posts also require proficiency in typing on a computer in English or Hindi. The CEN explains how this skill is assessed for this cycle, so read that section rather than relying on older patterns.
The age limit is 18 to 33 years as on 1 January 2027 for UR and EWS candidates. The upper limit rises to 36 for OBC-NCL and 38 for SC/ST, with further relaxation for PwBD and ex-servicemen under government rules.
Selection stages
Every candidate starts with CBT 1, a common screening test. Those who clear it are called to CBT 2, which is post-specific and decides merit. Shortlisted candidates then go through document verification and a medical examination. There is no interview.
Fee, dates and corrections
The fee is ₹500 for UR, OBC and EWS candidates and ₹250 for SC, ST, PwBD, ex-servicemen, female, transgender, minority and EBC candidates. Fee payment closes two days after the form, on 8 November. If you spot a mistake after submitting, the correction window runs from 9 to 18 November 2026. RRBs usually charge a modification fee for changes, and some fields such as the chosen board cannot be edited.
Candidates who sit CBT 1 have their fee refunded after bank charges, so treat the fee as a deposit rather than a loss, as long as you take the exam.
Before you submit
- Apply to only one RRB. Multiple applications under the same CEN are rejected.
- Rank posts by both pay and medical fitness. A higher preference you are medically unfit for wastes a merit position.
- Keep your degree marksheet, category certificate in the central government format, and photo ID ready. The same documents are checked at verification.
